TWICE Announces Additional Japanese Dome Tour Date In Osaka
TWICE had a successful 2018 and the nine-member group is gearing for another triumphant 2019. The group's popularity is expected to further soar this year as they added one more date to their upcoming Japanese dome tour due to the group's fame in the country.
TWICE's label JYP Entertainment has announced that the K-pop female group will be adding another tour date in Kyocera Dome in Osaka on March 20. According to the company, they decided to add another date in the Osaka concert due to the high demand for tickets in the four concert tours that are previously announced.
The additional tour date will be in at Kyocera Dome in Osaka on March 20. The TWICE concert schedule in Japan is as follows: Kyocera Dome on March 20-21, Tokyo Dome on March 29-30, and Nagoya Dome on April 6.
JYP first announced the TWICE Japanese dome tour, titled #Dreamday, in November. This makes the group the first K-pop girl act to do a tri-city tour in Japan and also the fastest foreign artists to perform at Tokyo Dome after debuting.
Additionally, TWICE is also set to release their second Japanese album #TWICE2 on March 6 ahead of their concert. The album will include Japanese versions of their Korean hits "YES or YES," "Likey," "What is Love?," "Heart Shaker," and "Dance the Night Away."
Moreover, a cumulative data for 2018 of K-pop artists have been released and TWICE has been the No. 3 spot on each list. The group took the third place in Gaon cumulative album sales for 2018 with over 1.4 million albums sold and at the Gaon cumulative digital singles points for 2018 with more than 2.4 million points.
The group is also the third place for the cumulative views on YouTube in 2018, next to BTS and BLACKPINK. TWICE likewise at No. 3 on Naver's cumulative keyword searches for 2018.
Meanwhile, TWICE's fans could watch Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu at the 2019 Gaon Chart Music Awards on January 23. The group is expected to perform their latest hit songs in the award show.
The 8th Gaon Chart Music Awards will be held at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium on January 23. It will be hosted by Kim Jong Kook and MOMOLAND member Nancy. Other K-pop groups that are confirmed to attend the event are Red Velvet, BLACKPINK, iKON, IZ*ONE, Stray Kids, The Boyz, MOMOLAND, SEVENTEEN, (G)I-DLE, and more.
