Fans of Korean actress Park Min Young might be seeing her again in a brand new romantic comedy TV series. This time around, the What's Wrong With Secretary Kim star will not play as a dedicated assistant to a narcissist CEO but instead an avid fangirl to K-pop idols.

Park's agency Namoo Actors has confirmed that the actress has received an offer to play the lead female role in the upcoming drama, titled Her Private Life. Apparently, Park is still reviewing the offer. However, there are already rumors that indicate that Park has already been cast to play the lead character in the series.

Her Private Life is based on the web novel Noona Fan Dot Com by Kim Sung Yeon. It follows the life of an art museum curator who is also an idol fangirl and two men who fall in love with her.

Lead character Sung Duk Mi has been a dedicated fan of idols for a couple of decades already. She has been as a senior curator of an art museum but at the same time, hiding her admiration to idols. Her secret life is at risk of being exposed because of the arrival of the new museum director, Ryan Gold. The TV adaptation of the web novel is expected to be released in early 2019 on tvN.

Park was last seen playing the lead female role in tvN hit rom-com What's Wrong With Secretary Kim. She portrayed the role of Kim Mi So, a highly skilled secretary of a handsome but difficult to work with CEO Lee Young Joon, which was played by Park Seo Joon. The City Hunter actress also recently held her first-ever fan meeting since her debut 12 years ago.

Meanwhile, Park has also been confirmed to host the 33rd Golden Disc Awards along with A Korean Odyssey actor Lee Seung Gi. The two will be hosting the first night of the ceremony at the Gocheok SkyDome in Seoul on January 5. The first night will focus on the digital releases of K-pop acts from December 1, 2017 to November 30, 2018.

The second night, on the other hand, will be about physical album releases. It will be hosted by Doctor Stranger actress Kang Sora and Korean singer Sung Si Kyung on January 6. The Golden Disc Awards will release the list of nominees for each category on December 7.
