Song Hye Kyo 2018: Is Song Joong Ki's Wife Still Popular? Actress Feels Comfortable With Park Bo Gum

There is no denying that Song Hye Kyo is among the most popular South Korean actresses today. The 36-year-old actress starred in various television series in her country including Full House, Autumn in my Heart and That Winter, the Wind Blow among others.

Song Hye Kyo also appeared in the 2016 hit show titled Descendants of the Sun along with Song Joong Ki, who is now her husband. Most, if not all, fans are aware that the actress' fan based grew further when DOTS was still on the air. In the said series, Hye Kyo portrayed the role of Dr. Kang Mo Yeon while Joong Ki played the part of Captain Yoo Shi Jin.

Recently, South China Morning Post shared that Song Hye Kyo remains popular in China despite the very fact that she has been away from the limelight for quite some time now. The news outlet claimed that the wife of Song Joong Ki receives no negative comments from any publications based in the region.

It also reported that the Korean Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE) listed Song Hye Kyo as one of the most famous Hallyu stars with thousands of fans around the globe. Aside from the Descendants of the Sun star, PSY, Lee Min Ho, and husband Song Joong Ki were also able to make it to the list.

Meanwhile, EconoTimes reported that Song Hye Kyo is now working on her upcoming new project called Boyfriend along with leading man Park Bo Gum, who is a very close pal of Song Joong Ki. The news outlet shared the wife of Song Joong Ki will play as Cha Soo Hyun, a rich woman who knows nothing about personal freedom. Bo Gum, on the other hand, is set to portray as an easy-go-lucky guy named Kim Jin Hyuk.

While this is the very first project of Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum, reports have it that they are already very comfortable with each other. EconoTimes even claimed that their friendship helped in "bringing this chemistry on screen." Even the series' director, Park Shin Woo, was so impressed by the pair's working relationship and chemistry.
