Song Hye Kyo Looks Lonely & Isolated On The First Glimpse Of Upcoming K-Drama 'Encounter'
Korean actress Song Hye Kyo looks beautiful and elegant in the upcoming K-drama Encounter, but her character is lonely. Korean TV network tvN shared a glimpse of the Song's character in recently-released images of the actress.
The actress is currently filming Encounter along with actor Park Bo Gum. In the first photo that was dropped by tvN, Song's character, Cha Soo Hyun, is reading a book while onboard an airplane. Another image shows her staring out the window of a car while traveling alone. The last picture shows Soo Hyun is out of the car while the press is taking photos of her.
In all of the images, Song Hye Kyo looks sad and lonely, perfectly portraying her character, Cha Soo Hyun. Based on the photos, fans could already anticipate a tear-jerking yet romantic drama series from Song Joong Ki's wife. The Encounter will be Song Hye Kyo comeback TV project following the success of Descendants of the Sun in 2016 and her wedding to co-star Song Joong Ki.

The Encounter tells the story of two characters-Cha Soo Hyun (Song Hye Kyo), and Kim Jin Hyuk (Park Bo Gum)-who have opposite personalities. Soo Hyun is an unhappy daughter of a prominent politician and ex-wife of the heir to a wealthy conglomerate. She lives a high-profile life and constantly under the spotlight. She grabs the attention of the public as well as the media wherever she goes.
Jin Hyuk, on the other hand, is a young man who enjoys his ordinary lifestyle and always finds happiness in small things. The two have nothing in common, but their chance encounter will lead to a heart-wrenching romance which will also turn both of their lives into chaos.
The Encounter is also Park Bo Gum's first K-drama after his 2016 series Love in the Moonlight. The series producers have assured fans that Park and Song will impress every one of their actings in the upcoming TV drama. They also promise a heart-warming love story between the two lead characters.
Meanwhile, actor Jang Seung Jo has confirmed to have received an offer to play the role of Cha Soo Hyun's ex-husband. The actor's agency Neos Entertainment said Jang has yet to make a final decision about the offer, but he is "positively considering" in taking the role. Jang Seung Jo recently appeared in tvN's Familiar Wife.
The Encounter is set to premiere in November on tvN. It will take the 9:30 p.m. every Wednesdays and Thursdays timeslot after the finale of The Smile Has Left Your Eyes.
