BIGBANG member Seungri is indeed maximizing his time before his expected military enlistment this year. The K-pop singer is set to star along with other idols in a YG Entertainment-produced sitcom which will air on Netflix.

After more than a year since it was first teased, YG Entertainment is finally releasing its much-awaited original variety sitcom, titled YG Future Strategy Office (also known as YG JeonJa). In Korea, "JeonJa" means a strategy center. In the show, the office is a dumping ground for YG's troublemakers.

Seungri will portray a role of an ambitious young man who was sent to the department. He will do everything he can to save the struggling FSO so he and the others will regain their places in the company.

The show will feature some of the agency's brightest stars. Joining Seungri are SNL Korea writer Byung Jae and K-pop boy band Sechskies member Lee Jae Jin. Other YG artists that will make an appearance in the sitcom are members of BLACKPINK, WINNER, iKON, and ONE.

YG Entertainment first released a teaser for the show in July 2017. It features the sitcom stars while planning for their show which will be based on real-life events and happenings at YG Entertainment. The clip showed Seungri and others talking about the agency and dissing YG in a hilarious way.

"Our manager was not a weird person before coming to YG Entertainment but it seems like people become weirder the longer they're here," iKON can be heard saying. Watch the clip below.

The upcoming YG Future Strategy Office will drop on Netflix on October 5. It will have eight episodes. The show was originally planned for release in November 2017.

YG Future Strategy Office is not the first variety show for Seungri. The BIGBANG idol previously appeared in MIXNINE and Girls Fighting. He also starred in K-drama Angel Eyes in 2014.

Meanwhile, Seugri is expected to start his military enlistment before the year ends. Currently, he is the only remaining member of BIGBANG who is actively promoting the group's music. All his bandmates are serving the military at the moment.

Seungri also released his first Korean solo studio album The Great Seungri on July 20 along with its title track "1, 2, 3!" He also had his first solo concert in Korea.
