'What's Wrong With Secretary Kim' Vs. ‘Are You Human Too’: Lee Tae Hwan Talks Competition

What's Wrong with Secretary Kim and Are You Human Too are just two of the dramas currently airing in South Korean that has captured the interest of avid viewers. With the expected viewer rating competition between primetime evening series, Lee Tae Hwan shared his thoughts about his fellow 5urprise member Seo Kang Joon.

The KBS sci-fi romance Are You Human Too and the tvN romantic comedy What's Wrong with Secretary Kim have been delighting K-drama lovers with its interesting storyline and talented cast members. Despite not being direct drama competitors given the two series' different broadcast schedules, some critics still compared the Park Seo Joon drama with the Seo Kang Joon starrer.

Recently, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim actor Lee Tae Hwan commented on the expected competition between the dramas. Given that his fellow 5urprise member Seo Kang Joon portrays dual roles in Are You Human Too, the W star shared that they still support each other despite being in productions that might rival another member's projects.

Park Seo Joon's What's Wrong with Secretary Kim co-star made the revelation in an interview with Woman Sense. Comparing the bond between 5urprise members to that of a close-knit family's relationship, Lee Tae Hwan shared that they do not feel envious if another member becomes more successful than the other.

The actor even identified the Are You Human Too star as one of his acting mentors. Recounting some of his discussions with his fellow 5urprise member, Lee Tae Hwan revealed that Seo Kang Joon gave him valuable advice on how to portray his role in the said tvN series.

Lee Tae Hwan and Seo Kang Joon both debuted through the five-member actor group 5urprise. Formed by the entertainment company Fantagio in 2013, the group is unlike most K-pop bands where some of the members would delve into acting after pursuing a music career. 5urprise members first showcased their acting prowess in the 12-episode drama After School: Lucky or Not before releasing their music album in 2014.

Apart from talking about Seo Kang Joon, the W star also shared an interesting story on how he became close to his What's Wrong with Secretary Kim co-stars Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young. The trio formed a strong bond after enjoying a drinking session with each other, according to the actor. Lee Tae Hwan also described Park Seo Joon as his confidant, given the way that his co-star would listen to his apprehensions about acting.

Lee Tae Hwan's drama What's Wrong with Secretary Kim airs every Wednesday and Thursday on tvN. Meanwhile, the Seo Kang Joon starrer Are You Human Too releases new episodes every Monday and Tuesday on KBS.
