Not surprisingly, Balfe once again dropped a hilarious joke about Heughan on Twitter. Interestingly, it could be a minor Outlander Season 4 spoiler.
Although she enjoys joking around with Sam Heughan on social media, Caitriona Balfe was surprisingly serious when she confirmed that she would not be attending the upcoming The Highlanders 3 convention in Birmingham. The Outlander Season 4 actress made a public apology to fans who were hoping to see the real Claire Fraser this August.
Caitriona Balfe is currently working on Outlander Season 4 but that hasn't stopped the Now You See Me star from being active on social media. Balfe recetly decided to share something she overheard from the crew of the Starz series on her official Twitter account.
"Heard on set 'can someone check if Sam left his guns in his trailer,' " Caitriona Balfe wrote, adding the flexed bicep emoji to her tweet. The post immediately started a thread where fans shared awesome photos of Sam Heughan showing off his toned arms. Some wondered if the comment from the crew meant that Jamie Fraser would be spending plenty of time shirtless in Outlander Season 4.
This isn't the first time that Caitriona Balfe kickstarted a massive image sharing on Twitter. The Outlander Season 4 star previously greeted Sam Heughan on his birthday by sharing some funny pictures of her leading man. Fans joined in and the actor's birthday became a trending topic on social media.
On a serious note, Caitriona Balfe issued an apology for her absence at The Highlanders 3 convention this August. The Outlander Season 4 actress confirmed she will be working "in the US" at that time but assures her fans that "the rest of my wonderful cast will take care of you all and make it an amazing day." Meanwhile, Outlander Season 4 is expected to premiere on Starz later this year.
