Another South Korean celebrity couple announced the end of their romantic relationship. Lee Dong Wook and Bae Suzy's respective entertainment agencies recently confirmed the couple's breakup.

Lee Dong Wook and Bae Suzy surprised avid fans when they announced the end of their four-month romance. The two celebrities unveiled their dating status in March. Having met at a private gathering, the Goblin actor and Miss A alum began a friendship that soon escalated into romance.

However, Lee Dong Wook and Bae Suzy were unable to find a balance in sustaining their romantic relationship and attending to the demands of their careers. In a statement released on July 2 by JYP Entertainment, the Uncontrollably Fond actress' agency confirmed the breakup news and cited the two celebrities' busy schedules as the reason behind the separation. The Goblin star and K-pop idol had very little time to meet each until they naturally drifted apart, according to JYP Entertainment.

Lee Dong Wook's entertainment agency King Kong by Starship also seconded JYP Entertainment's statement. Confirming the end to the said couple's relationship, the actor's agency also highlighted the two celebrities' busy schedules that prevented them from remaining close to one another.

Both celebrities have been hard at work attending to their respective projects. Having agreed to join the upcoming series Life, Lee Dong Wook has been busy preparing for his role as a dedicated doctor and filming scenes for the said drama.

Similarly, Bae Suzy has her hands full with various projects that included meeting fans from different Asian countries. The former Miss A band member traveled to Hong Kong and Bangkok in May and June, respectively, to meet her fans in a special event. The K-pop idol turned actress even became emotional during a meet-and-greet event in Taipei after seeing a touching video that fans prepared for her.

Lee Dong Wook's former girlfriend is also set to make her drama comeback in the upcoming series Vagabond. Portraying the lead female role in the said series, the project will also serve as Bae Suzy's second drama with Lee Seung Gi as her onscreen partner.

Lee Dong Wook's new drama Life will premiere on July 23 on JTBC. Meanwhile, Bae Suzy's new SBS series Vagabond will be released in 2019.
