'Yuri!!! on Concert' To Reveal Major Announcement; Will It Be About 'Yuri on Ice' Season 2 Or The Movie?
It has been two years since fans last saw Yuuri Katsuki and Victor Nikiforov playing with their fate on the ice skating rink. Although Yuri on Ice Season 2 is not yet confirmed and its movie version's details remain to be scarce, the anime series' official Twitter page teased a significant announcement is about to be made.
"Scheduled for 7/1, the TV anime Yuri!!! on ICE musical event, Yuri!!! on CONCERT, will be live streamed!" Yuri On Ice's Twitter page revealed on Thursday, June 28. "At the end of the concert, a major announcement will be made."
Of course, a lot of fans got excited about this news. In fact, one Twitter user quietly said, "finally," after their long wait. Come July 1; there will be a big reveal regarding the much-loved anime series, Yuri On Ice. Is it about Yuri on Ice Season 2 or its movie adaptation?
According to Comicbook, the coming of Yuri on Ice Season 2 was never made official. Its movie version, on the other hand, was confirmed by MAPPA Studios, but there was no news about its development. Hence, fans are now wondering what will be the future of one of the biggest hits in anime series.
One of the major announcement fans have been hoping to hear is the possible release date of Yuri on Ice movie. Also, they are longing to see a trailer or new details about it.

Meanwhile, even though there is no news about Yuri On Ice movie, Jeffrey Buttle's recent post from the Aqua Rink Chiba in Japan on Instagram made fans crazy. At the time, the Canadian figure skater revealed that he was skating for a movie production. In fact, he was seen donning Xsense 3-D motion tracking gear. "Can't wait to see how the movie turns out," he captioned the snap.
Hence, fans quickly assumed that he was shooting for Yuri On Ice movie. His moves might be translated into the film using the motion gear he was wearing. The anime series' first season used professional skaters for Yuuri and Victor's choreographies. Does this mean that the film is now in production?
