'Dragon Ball Super' Movie Update: Frieza To Join The Film; New Characters Coming, Goku & Vegeta's New Looks Revealed
New details about the upcoming Dragon Ball Super movie are emerging—thanks to different Twitter posts. Now, fans can have a glimpse of the new and improved character designs of Goku, Vegeta, and more. Also, it is now confirmed that Frieza will be joining the film as the villain fans love to hate.
In a recent Twitter post by Yonkou Productions, it gave a glimpse of a magazine featuring the characters who will be seen in the Dragon Ball Super movie. Here, it was confirmed that Frieza will be joining Goku and Vegeta on their new journey.
The post also showed Goku and Vegeta's new looks as they were both wearing winter outfits. This might have a connection with the icy mountains that were seen in the trailer of the Dragon Ball Super movie. Vegeta was donning a lime green coat while Goku was sporting a long jacket that made him look like a basketball coach, per Geek.
In another post by @MsDBZbabe on Twitter, a collection of all the Dragon Ball Super movie's character designs were revealed. There was also a new post shared by @DragonDisclaim1 that showed the new arctic looks of Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and the newly-added soldiers.

Also, Twitter user @DBKHD compared Frieza's new Dragon Ball Super movie design by Naohiro Shintani with Tadayoshi Yamamuro's original sketch from the original Dragon Ball anime series. Hence, these new designs just showed that fans are about to see their favorite heroes' new looks. Aside from that, there will also be new characters coming.
As seen in the images, Chirai and Remo will be joining Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza in the upcoming Dragon Ball Super movie. However, their exact roles are yet to be revealed. Fans are expecting more details about these two to come in the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, according to Comicbook, the Dragon Ball Super movie will be telling the story of Saiyans and the origin of Goku's superpower. It might also say a little thing about the first Super Saiyan. The film is set to be released in December in Japan and fans have the chance to get their first look at the movie during the Dragon Ball North America Tour.
