'Outlander' Season 4 News & Updates: Starz Drama On Last 10 Days Of Filming; Sam Heughan's Twitter Account Flooded With Fan Art
The Droughtlander will soon be over. Sam Heughan has revealed that the cast and crew of Outlander Season 4 are down to their last 10 days of filming. This means fans will get to see a longer teaser of Season 4 sometime soon.
Heughan delivered the good news via a post on Twitter along with a request to his fans to send him some Outlander fan art that he can post every day. The series' followers willingly obliged and flooded Heughan's account with fan art of the actor's Outlander character, Jamie Fraser. There were also sketches of Jamie's wife, Claire (Caitriona Balfe).
"Last 10 days shooting season 4 @Outlander_STARZ !! Want to send me some fan art and I'll post one each day?? #ArtEachDay," Heughan tweeted.
The 10 more days of shooting means the production team is still on schedule and has plenty of time to finish editing before the premiere in November. The cast members will also have time to travel to the U.S. to attend the Las Vegas Comic-Con from July 13 to 15.
Unfortunately, Heughan is sitting this one out. The actor reportedly bailed out due to the conflict in schedule. The actor is expected to join the promotion of his movie The Spy Who Dumped Me next month. The film is set to premiere on August 3. On the other hand, Balfe, Graham McTavish (Dougal MacKenzie), Sophie Skelton (Brianna Randall), Richard Rankin (Roger Wakefield), Steven Cree (Ian Murray), and César Domboy (Fergus Fraser) will all attend the Las Vegas convention.
As the filming of Outlander Season 4 wraps up, Heughan and Balfe will still be working in front of the camera. Heughan has joined the cast of superhero movie Bloodshot alongside Vin Diesel. The movie will reportedly shoot scenes in Prague this summer. As for Balfe, she was cast to play the role as Christian Bale character's wife in biopic movie Ford v Ferrari. The movie is scheduled for release in June 2019.
Meanwhile, all fan art which were sent by fans to Heughan were created exceptionally. Heughan had chosen the work of artist Vera Adxer, who is also an avid fan of the show, as the masterpiece of the day. The actor also picked the adorable doodle of ginger-hair Jamie by MrStevenCree. See the art below.
Some fans also shared their sketches of the day Claire and Jamie met or their very own "Outlander cookies." One even used Jamie and Claire Funko toys to recreate a scene in Season 1 with a bear. Fans can still share their Outlander fan art and get a chance to be chosen and featured on Heughan's Twitter feed.
