‘Dragon Ball Super’ Future Trunks Timeline Shows Fate Of Future Zamasu, Goku Black
The "Dragon Ball Super" Future Trunks Saga storyline made excessive use of time travel, and while fans of Goku and the gang may have a bit of understanding, some fans -- especially new ones -- couldn't quite follow the storyline. Luckily, Toei Animation released an in infographic explaining multiple timelines across multiple realities. Posted on the Toei Animation website is an infographic explaining several timelines that fans have seen in "Dragon Ball Super."
Present Timeline
This timeline is where Goku defeats the resurrected Frieza, Buu, and we also got to see the Sayan fight Beerus. The battle between Universe 6 and Universe 7 happens in this timeline as well, where the Future Trunks is seen visiting to solicit help in fighting Goku Black.
This incident led the whole team to Universe 10, where Beerus reveals that Goku Black shares the same Ki with Zamasu. Zamasu and Goku fight, making the former hate mortals even more.
Beerus foils Zamasu's whole plan by killing him and stopping the time loop. The present timeline is secure for the time being, but Vegeta, Bulma, and Goku are currently in Future Trunks' timeline to assist him.
Future Trunks Timeline
Because of Goku Black, the Future Zamasu becomes immortal in the Future Trunks timeline. Goku is dead so Future Trunks had to fight Dabura and Babidi with the Supreme Kai.
This timeline also sees Future Zamasu and Goku Black defeat all the Gods and finally create a world without any mortal. They managed to wreak havoc on Earth, which is why Future Trunks had to go back in time to seek Goku's help.
Some humans are still alive despite Goku Black and Future Zamasu's doing, but Goku, Vegeta, and Future Trunks will do their best to defeat the evil pair.
Goku Black Timeline
This timeline in "Dragon Ball Super" is somewhat tragic, as this is where Zamasu kills off Gowasu. This led him to get his hands on the Super Dragon Balls, which transforms him into Goku Black. However, it is not in his timeline where unleashes his powers; rather, in Future Trunks timeline.
