K-pop fans are all marking their calendar for the upcoming HallyuPopFest 2018 in September and so does host Eric Nam. The American-Korean star expressed his hopes that BTS will perform in the biggest K-pop music festival in Southeast Asia.

The HallyuPopFest 2018 is set to bring in Singapore the best and the brightest Korean acts. This year's event is scheduled during the local school holidays in the country from Sept 7 to 9, 2018 to make sure that fans of all ages will enjoy the three-day event.

Singapore-based event organizer H.A.H. Entertainment promised to bring "a strong base of fan favorites peppered with a few new faces" at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.  Apparently, over 100 K-pop artists are scheduled to perform at the festival. So far, the organizer has already confirmed some of the performers for this year's event.

According to the festival's official social media pages, the latest addition to the list is K-pop boy band Victon. The lineup also has BTOB, EXID, Apink, Gugudan, Huh Gak, MYTEEN, Dreamcatcher, Yu Seungwoo, Jeong Sewoon, and Soyou.

GQ Korea's 2016 Man Of The Year Eric Nam will be hosting the event in all three days. Nam revealed that he wishes to see BTS in HallyuPopFest 2018. The heartthrob admitted that he and BTS members are good pals. In fact, he previously revealed that BTS helped him with his latest album. Nam said the Bangtan Boys listened to his tracks and gave him their feedback.

"They are [my] friends. I am a solo artist, and I am always lonely so if I have friends here, it is going to be a great time," Nam told The New Paper.

The 29-year-old Korean star is not only known for his hosting skills in Arirang's After School Club and MBC's Section TV. He is also a great singer and songwriter. He recently released his latest mini-album, Honestly, after a two-year break in singing. The album is consists of five tracks, two of which are in English.

Meanwhile, the HallyuPopFest 2018 has yet to drop the full list of performers so it is early to tell whether or not BTS will appear in the event. The organizers, however, promised to release in the coming weeks more details about the event including the full lineup of performers, ticket information, and festival schedule.

Meanwhile, the HallyuPopFest 2018 also teased the activities lined up for fans such as red carpet, concerts as well as meet and greet sessions with their favorite Hallyu stars. Organizers are expecting a huge influx of fans not only from Singapore by also from neighboring countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and others.
