EXO's Kai Breaks Instagram Hiatus; New IG Account Rakes Over 1 Million Followers In Less Than 24-Hour
EXO member Kai has created a new Instagram account, marking the end of his hiatus from the photo-sharing app. In less than a day, Kai has garnered over 1 million followers.
Kai unveiled his new Instagram account with a couple of photos from the Gucci Cruise 2019 fashion show where he was invited. The first image featured what seems to be the official invite for the event while the second snap was a photo of Kai watching the fashion show from the front row. The event happened on May 30.
Kai's second post featured the singer in dreadlocks. So far, the EXO member only posted twice – which is enough for his fans to go crazy based on over one million followers in less than a day.
Kai uses the account name "zkdlin," which spells out 'Kai' in Korean (카이) along with 'in.' He did not use Kai, or his real name Kim Jong-in, in his account name, and it doesn't have a profile photo yet. However, it was confirmed that it is the EXO member's official IG account when his bandmate Chanyeol and one of K-pop group's managers commented on his first post.
"You have finally started," Chanyeol wrote while the manager commented "Again."
Kai first signed up on Instagram back in March 2015. He then deleted the account a few weeks later after EXO released their new track "Call Me Baby." Many believed that the IG account was only created to provide teasers for EXO's comeback album EXODUS which dropped on March 30, 2015. This makes many fans wonder if the new IG account of Kai is also a hint that the K-pop band is releasing a comeback album very soon.
Meanwhile, Kai is not the only EXO member who recently created a social media account. Baekhyun has opened up his own Twitter account on June 2. The K-pop singer has confirmed that he is new on Twitter when he amusingly asked if anyone would like to teach him how to use the app.
So far, Baekhyun has over 700,000 followers on Twitter while more than two million people viewed his first clip. His fans are thrilled for Baekhyun's engagement on social media as the hashtag #WelcomeToTwitterBaekhyun has been trending worldwide.
