Although the fight has come down to a duel between Daenerys Targaryen and Cersei Lannister, there are other possible rulers in the show. A new theory suggests that Jon Snow will lose an important ally because of his loyalty to Emilia Clarke's character.

Her character might be considered an innocent bystander in the HBO series, but that doesn't mean Hannah Murray is utterly oblivious of what is happening in the final season. Interestingly, the actress who portrays Gilly had an odd response when she was asked by The Daily Dot during the recent Con of Thrones 2018 on whether they had to film multiple endings for Game of Thrones Season 8. "I only just heard that for the first time, just today and I was not under the impression that there were multiple endings," Murray revealed. Although it is possible that the former Skins star only shot one conclusion for the final season, some believe that this was because Gilly had been killed off before the finale.

Hannah Murray is not the only one who is being kept in the dark about how Game of Thrones Season 8 will end. Joe Dempsie has also confirmed with INSIDER that he only has a vague idea of how the show will conclude and that he finished shooting Gendry's final scene a long time ago. Not surprisingly, the statement led to speculations that Jon Snow's new friend will die in one of the first few episodes.

So what could this mean for Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow? The new couple could end up losing more people than they are willing to sacrifice to save Westeros and take the Iron Throne from Cersei Lannister. Nevertheless, there is little doubt that Game of Thrones Season 8 will have a fitting conclusion that people will talk about long after its expected premiere in early 2019.
