It is finally confirmed that an anime series based on The Promised Neverland will be seen on the small screen. After it was officially announced on Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 26, little details about the show have now been revealed.

The Promised Neverland now has an official trailer. Here, the voices of Emma, Norman, and Ray can be heard. However, as the new anime series staff is not yet revealed, fans are wondering who the voices behind these characters are.

According to Comic Book, there are fan-made theories that Emma is voiced by Sumire Morohoshi, who also voiced Hinami Fueguchi from Tokyo Ghoul. They, too, assumed that Norman is played by Rie Kugimiya, who's behind Alphonse Elric's character from Fullmetal Alchemist. Lastly, Ray might be voiced by Mariya Ise, who also voiced Killua from Hunter x Hunter.

Also, there are rumors that The Promised Neverland's staff list includes Yuichi Fukushima as the producer, Kyohei Ishiguro and Yoshitoshi Shinomiya as its directors, and Masayoshi Tanaka as the character designer. The anime series' animation production is said to be CloverWorks.

In addition, The Promised Neverland's original creator and illustrator, Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu, revealed their sentiments about the anime adaptation of their manga series. "A TV anime adaptation! Thank you! ... I hope we can enjoy this together!" Kaiu said about the new show.

Kaiu Shirai revealed that he already read The Promised Neverland's script up to Episode 3. And he said that although the anime adaptation has the same story as the manga series, it will be seen differently. Hence, he teased that fans will surely "get twice the enjoyment." On the other hand, Posuka Demizu said that he just stepped into "an awesome world" upon seeing the anime series.

Meanwhile, as The Promised Neverland is now hyped, OtakuKart revealed its release date. Unfortunately, it won't be out this year. According to some sources, the anime series is going to be unveiled in January 2019. However, the show's official release date is not yet revealed, so fans have to wait a little longer for CloverWorks' further announcement and details.
