Some of the best Korean actors today rose to fame after they starred in hit drama series on television. The charm and acting skills of these Hallyu heartthrobs make them the best international Korean actors today. Here are some of the best movies of these Korean actors that you can check out over and over again.

Gong Yoo - A Man and a Woman (2016) & Train To Busan (2016)

He was first known as Choi Han-kyul in the MBC's romantic comedy Coffee Prince and this marks his breakout role. From then on, he starred in tons of other good movies. Among his best are A Man and A Woman and Train To Busan, both in 2016.

Gong Yoo was the lead star in a heartbreaking story of  A Man and A Woman. It was a story of a couple who embark on a love affair after a chance meeting in Finland.

In Train To Busan, Gong played the role of a divorced manager who finds himself and his daughter in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Both movies earned success in international box office.

The star status of the 38-year-old actor was further sealed when he charmed viewers in the hit K-drama Goblin: The Lonely and Great God in late 2016. Although Gong Yoo hasn't appeared in movies or TV series as of late, he continues to be one of the top Korean actors today.

Song Joong Ki - The Battleship Island (2017)

Song Joong Ki is clearly not just great on television as he proven himself on the big screen too. The Descendants of the Sun actor starred in The Battleship Island as Park Moo-young, a freedom fighter who rescued a fellow independence fighter being held captive under Japanese colonization.

Jung Woo-sung - Reign of Assassins (2010) & A Moment To Remember (2004)

Jung has a long list of box office hits. Reign of Assassins and A Moment to Remember are only two of these. Jung played the role of Jiang Ah-sheng who hides some dark secrets from his wife, Zeng Jing (Michelle Yeoh), in Reign of Assassins. In A Moment to Remember, Jung played the role of an architect whose wife is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease.

Song Seung-heon - Obsessed (2014)

He became a household name when he appeared in the hit K-drama Autumn in My Heart in 2000. Song further solidified his status as a Hallyu star in 2003 with Summer Scent and gain more followers when he portrayed the role of a high-ranking military officer who is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder in Obsessed. Song's character falls into an obsessive love affair with his wife.

Kim Soo-hyun - Real (2017)

Kim Soo-hyun first rose to fame on the small screen with the hit TV series My Love From The Star in 2013. He then starred in a dystopian action film titled Real in which Kim takes on a role of a successful "problem solver" and casino mogul. He was praised for his portrayal of two characters in the movie.
