‘John Wick 3’ Cast Updates: New Female Lead/Potential Love Interest Has Been Announced

In John Wick 3, the world's greatest assassin will be facing new enemies, according to recent cast details that have surfaced lately. In addition, it is now confirmed that an actress will be joining the film's cast which sparked speculations that she could be playing the rumored female main character or, perhaps, even the new love interest.

Keanu Reeves will be facing a number of deadly enemies in John Wick 3. In fact, the identity of the actor who will be playing the main villain's role has already been revealed, and it is someone Reeves knows very well.

While there are expected to be a lot of bad guys in John Wick 3, actor Hiroyuki Sanada's character will be the worst of them all as he will be playing the still unnamed main villain, according to Men's Journal. Keannu should know Sanada well enough as both actors appeared together in the 47 Ronin film as master and disciple. Sanada already starred in a number of action films such as Rush Hour 3, The Wolverine, and Speed Racer.

But it won't just be Sanda's character who will be stirring up trouble for John. A recent announcement revealed the addition of new actors into the John Wick 3 cast such as Anjelica Huston, who will be playing the Director of the High Table, Asia Kate Dillon as The Adjudicator, Jason Mantzoukas as Tick Tock Man, and Mark Dacascos as Zero. According to Digital Trends, there's a good chance that Zero and Tick Tock Man could be assassins as well.

Fortunately, John will be getting some help in his fight against these villains. It was recently announced that actress Halle Berry would be joining the John Wick 3 cast as the character Sofia. While it is not yet clear how Sofia will fit into the movie's plot, it was already confirmed that she will not be a villain. There is even a possibility that she could be the new main female character that was previously hinted at by rumors or, perhaps, even John's new love interest.

Meanwhile, the returning cast for John Wick 3 has already been confirmed. Laurence Fishbourne will reprise his role as the Bowery King, Common will be back as Cassian, and Ruby Rose will be back as Ares. Lance Riddick is expected to be back as Charon, while Ian McShane will most likely reprise his role as Winston.
