Fans of the hit Korean series Goblin, also known as Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, will still be able to see their favorite actors on the small screen. That's right; Gong Yoo, Lee Dong-Wook, and Kim Go-Eun have all returned to Japanese television this month.

But it won't be for Goblin Season 2, however, at least not at the moment. Japanese fans may still view Gong Yoo, Lee Dong-Wook, and Kim Go-Eun on television as the fantasy drama's first season is currently airing in the country.

Goblin Season 1 (Guardian: The Lonely and Great God) actually started airing in Japan on May 21, 2018, according to International Business Times. The hit series, which stars Gong Yoo, Lee Dong-Wook and Kim Go-Eun, airs on Tokyo TV at 8.15 a.m. local time. However, the show will be titled Goblin - Lovely Days You Gave Me for the Japanese audience.

Goblin Season 2 Updates

Meanwhile, fans are a bit worried about the future of the popular K-drama. While the first season's finale aired over a year ago, there seems to be no official confirmation until now that a Goblin Season 2 is already in the works.

But that does not mean that Goblin Season 2 will not happen. In fact, there are recent hints that fans just might get their wishes and see their favorite stars again in the second season. Well, at least there is a good chance that heartthrob Gong Yoo might be back to reprise his role in the sequel based on a clip whichs shows the actor talking about the show.

"Your 'Guardian' days are not over yet. I thought the drama was all finished. I'm very disconcerted."

Does Gong Yoo know something that Goblin fans do not? Was the brief message his own way of hinting at fans not to lose hope because Goblin Season 2 is on the way?

Anything is possible in the entertainment industry. Fans have even seen decades-old franchise given a new spin for modern audiences. Considering the success in the first season, it would be simply illogical if producers do not cash in on the show's popularity by coming up with Goblin Season 2. Make sure to follow up for updates.
