There were a lot of whispers and speculations regarding the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date, but none of those were made official until now. Square Enix has finally ended all the rumors and gave a specific month of when it will be launched. Will the KH 3 release date be revealed in E3 2018?

Kingdom Hearts 3 was first announced at E3 2013 through a short teaser trailer saying that the game was "now in development." Five years later, the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date remained a mystery.

Although Square Enix has shared some updates about what’s in store for the fans when KH 3 finally arrives, the official Kingdom Hearts 3 release date had always been left out. In fact, the third installment of the series of crossover action role-playing games had appeared at a convention every year, but its launch was never brought up.

However, D23 2017 changed everything when a Kingdom Hearts 3 release date announcement was revealed, stating that the highly-anticipated game will come in 2018. Even though an exact KH 3 release date was still uncertain, saying that it will be released in 2018 was already enough to bring the hype back.

Now, not only is the year confirmed, franchise director Tetsuya Nomura took it up a notch and finally said the exact month of the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date. The 47-year-old Japanese video game designer revealed that the long wait for KH 3 would end really soon.

Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date Will Be Revealed In E3 2018?

"We do plan to announce [the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date] early next month," Tetsuya Nomura shared via translation. "We are making final, last-minute adjustments, but we are pretty firm on a certain date, so we hope to reveal it next month."

Since E3 2018 (Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018) will happen on June 12-14, many believed that the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date would be announced at the event. Although these speculations have yet to be verified, Tetsuya Nomura’s update seemingly pointed to an E3 2018 announcement. KH 3 is due to be out on the PS4 and Xbox One.
