Christina Aguilera has no plans to come back to The Voice. The "Lady Marmalade" hitmaker revealed her reason for not returning in the NBC reality show after she quit two years ago. Aguilera also denied the rumor that it was because of bad blood between her and fellow coach Gwen Stefani.

Aguilera is one of the original coaches of The Voice when it debuted in 2011. She last appeared in Season 10 in 2016. She and Stefani never worked together as coaches in The Voice. However, rumor has it that Aguilera decided not to return to the show because of Stefani's relationship with fellow judge Blake Sheldon that has been dominating The Voice. Aguilera explained why she left the show and made it clear that it is not because of a particular person.

"No, it never had anything to do with any one person at all. And, I actually think it's really cute Blake and Gwen found love in that chaotic environment," she told W Magazine.

Aguilera seated in the big red chair as one of the four coaches in the reality competition in Season 1-3. She took a break in Seasons 4, 6, and 7 to devote her time for her growing family. The singer was replaced by Shakira in Seasons 4 and 6 and by Gwen Stefani in Season 7. Aguilera came back in Season 8 and 10 but never return since.

Aguilera confessed that she left The Voice because she is no longer comfortable with the changes in the NBC show. The "Genie in a Bottle" singer said she came to see the show as a "hamster wheel."

"It was such a hamster wheel. I signed on to a show where the blind audition element was something interesting, something genuine. After a while, though, you start to see that everyone is good-looking ... It wasn't a comfortable place for me to be, where I'm just part of a money-making machine," the singer confessed about why she decided to leave the competition behind.

Aguilera also said the same sentiments about The Voice in the recent issue of Billboard Magazine. The singer said the show is not about the music anymore but making a good TV story instead.

"It became something that I didn't feel was what I had signed up for in Season 1. You realize it's not about music. It's about making good TV moments and massaging a story," she told the magazine.

Aguilera is currently busy on her upcoming eighth studio album, Liberation, which will drop on June 15. The 37-year-old singer released this week the single "Fall in Line" featuring Demi Lovato from the Liberation album.

Meanwhile, the on-going The Voice Season 14 is lead by veteran coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine and returning coach Alicia Keys. New coach Kelly Clarkson also joined the team this year.
