MOMOLAND confirmed their comeback happening next month. The group will be releasing a Korean album and will also debut in Japan in June. MOMOLAND's agency Duble Kick Company revealed that the girls will drop a new EP in June. It will be the K-pop act's follow up to their most recent mini album Great! which was dropped earlier this year. The album has the title hit track "Bboom Bboom."

"MOMOLAND will be coming back with a new mini album in late June. Please look forward to good music," the agency said (via AllKPop). Ahead of their comeback, the group will be making their debut in Japan on June 13 with the Japanese version of their single "Bboom Bboom." The EP will also contain the Japanese adaptation of the band's single "Welcome to MOMOLAND."

The band's comeback and debut in Japan will come five months after MOMOLAND was accused of plagiarism. The Russian girl group SEREBRO earlier claimed that MOMOLAND plagiarized their song "Mi Mi Mi." SEREBRO said "Bboom Bboom" sound too similar to their song.

Shinsadong Tiger and Beomi Nangi, the producers of "BBoom BBoom," denied the allegations. The two pointed out that the MOMOLAND song sounds familiar because of the similarities in genre and guitar riffs. However, they stressed that the melody and chord progression of "BBoom BBoom" is completely different from "Mi Mi Mi."

MOMOLAND's hit single also won six awards this year. Additionally, the "BBoom BBoom" music video hit 100 million views on YouTube last month, making it the first of MOMOLAND's MV to do so. With their latest feat, MOMOLAND has joined the elite list of K-pop acts who have reached the milestone. The list includes PSY, BTS, BIGBANG, EXO, Girls' Generation, TWICE, Super Junior, 2NE1, f(x), GOT7, 4minute, BLACKPINK, and Red Velvet.

Meanwhile, MOMOLAND also released a music video of their Japanese version of "Bboom Bboom." The girls showed off their energetic performance and choreography, but the MV has a slightly more mature vibe than the Korean version. The MV has already garnered over 1.6 million views since its release on Tuesday.

Hyebin, Yeonwoo, Jane, Taeha, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, Daisy, and Nancy will also greet their Japanese fandom with a fan meeting on June 15. They also set to appear in the Running Man show along with the WINNER, AOA, and WJSN. The episode will be aired later this month. The nine-member K-pop group is also preparing for a world tour later this year.
