Big things are set to happen in the highly anticipated Hawaii Five-0 Season 8 finale. After all, Steve McGarrett and his team are set to go up against a mighty adversary in "Waiho Wale Kahiko" this Friday. But is it possible that Alex O'Loughlin and Scott Caan will also be saying goodbye to one of the newest members of Five-0? There are speculations that Hawaii Five-0 Season 8 Episode 25 could send one character away for a long time.

The upcoming Hawaii Five-0 Season 8 finale might be the last appearance of one of the main characters in the CBS series, but there is hope for the future. Some fans believe that "Waiho Wale Kahiko" could feature a hint at another possible crossover episode with MacGyver Season 3 in Hawaii Five-0 Season 9.

The synopsis for the Hawaii Five-0 Season 8 finale listed by The Futon Critic reveals that Steve McGarrett and his team will "discover a Russian spy ring hiding in plain sight when a Russian nuclear attack submarine appears off the coast of Waikiki." In addition to that, Meaghan Rath's character Tani Rey will be having trouble dealing with "her unnerving discovery at Adam's house." But could this mean one of the new members of Five-0 will not be returning in the next season?

Fans have been concerned about Adam Noshimuri since he was last seen in "He Lokomaika’I Ka Manu O Kaiona" earlier this year. Although Ian Anthony Dale's character had reportedly returned to the mainland to reunite with his wife Kono Kalakaua, there have been speculations that he will return to help Steve McGarrett in the Hawaii Five-0 Season 8 finale. But will Adam only return to conclude his final storyline in "Waiho Wale Kahiko?" There is no word yet on whether Dale will still be part of the main cast in Hawaii Five-0 Season 9.

Although it is unclear whether Adam Noshimuri will be back in the next season, fans have big hopes for what will happen in the Hawaii Five-0 Season 8 finale. The incident with the Russian spy ring might lead to Alex O'Loughlin needing to call on Lucas Till's Angus MacGyver in Hawaii Five-0 Season 9. Hopefully, CBS is planning a major crossover with MacGyver Season 3 later this year.
