BamBam Of GOT7 Shows His Gratitude To Fans Following Military Draft Support And Lottery
BamBam of GOT7 is not only lucky for having thousands of fans who love and support him but also for dodging a bullet that could have stalled his career. For this, BamBam also showed much gratitude that his fans were with him through thick and thin.
It can be recalled that BamBam of boy group GOT7 was recently able to avoid South Korea's mandatory military draft for males who have come of age. BamBam was supposed to be stationed in Thailand for the military draft tour which all South Korean males are supposed to undertake. This would have taken BamBam two years in which his stint with GOT7 would have to be set aside.
It should be noted that BamBam was already drafted and was just awaiting his military assignment in Thailand. He even went there already poised to begin his military service for South Korea. Luckily for him, he was part of a draft lottery and the enlistment status changed to full before he could have his turn. This ultimately meant that he is to be exempted from the mandatory military service since the quota for enlistees have been fulfilled—lucky indeed for him.
Because of this, BamBam thanked his loyal fans for the support he got where he expressed gratitude in the form of a video. The video was played during GOT7's 2018 GOT7 Eyes On You World Tour which took place in Seoul on May 6.
Despite being exempted from his military draft out of pure luck, BamBam thanked his fans for their promise that they will wait for him to finish his military service. The GOT7 member also mentioned how he appreciated fans stating that they will be there for him no matter what the results of the mandatory military service were.
It is quite interesting to imagine, however, how BamBam's Kpop career and fans would turn out if luck did not tilt in his favor. It would have been a GOT7 without BamBam for two years which is quite a long wait for fans, though BamBam's military service could have also easily been quite entertaining for fans if documented.
