K-pop group NCT has unveiled its official lightstick. However, the idols' fans have mixed reactions about the new merch of the Korean boy band.

During the recent NCT 2018 Fan Party, the members of NCT appeared on stage, each holding their official lightstick for the very first time. The group's logo is designed in a neon green squared head with a white stick handle. Check out the photos shared by fans on Instagram below.

NCT fans have different reactions about the new lightstick. Many are pleased with the design of the merch while others are not. Some called it "NCT Lightstick Thor" because of its hammer-like design. Others commented that they miss the old unofficial lightstick of the band which is a neon green microphone.

"I'll miss the Vroom Vroom mic," one fan said. "I think I could make it better than that," a fan commented about the new lightstick design. "Looks like a freaking hammer," another added.

Billboard's top emerging musical act in the U.S. revealed their latest merch a day after NCT 127 released a new teaser for their Japan debut. The band's sub-unit dropped a 52-second teaser for their first Japanese mini album titled Chain.

Fans speculate that the teaser is for the track "Dreaming" as suggested in the lyrics. It can also be noticed in the teaser that some of the NCT 127 members have the phrase "From Seoul" written on different parts of their body. Both the lyrics and the members' written message suggest that the group is ready to expand their reach beyond Seoul.

The upcoming EP of NCT 127 will have a total of five songs. Chain is scheduled to be released on May 23. All 18 members of NCT are also currently promoting their track "Black on Black" off from their latest album NCT 2018 Empathy.

Meanwhile, aside from a new lightstick and new album, all members of NCT put a smile on their fans' faces when they shared some of their childhood photos to celebrate Children's Day in Korea. Fans were freaking out given the cute and adorable snaps of their idols on NCT's official Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Each post features a side-by-side photo of an NCT member. The first image shows the idol during his younger years while the second photo shows the K-pop singer reenacting the first picture. The NCT members used some props or did a child-like pose to recreate their childhood photo. Perhaps the most adorable of all is NCT Benjun's re-enactment of his baby photo. It shows Benjun with a pacifier on and the teen idol perfectly copied the pose and props in the other snap.
