‘Boruto’ Chapter 23 Release Date & Spoilers: A New Type Of Power Activated For The First Time

Boruto Chapter 23, which arrived a few days ago, dropped two very exciting development to the manga series' plot. It was the first time that Konoha finally meet a member of Kara's inner group in the person of Kashin Koji. And more exciting still is the fact that Boruto actually has a cool new power that even he was not aware of until now.

The Mysterious Kashin Koji

In the recently released Boruto Chapter 23, the Konoha ninjas led by Konohamaru finally met their first Inner Kara member Kashin Koji. It was revealed that he was actually watching their battle against Ao the entire time. In fact, he seemed to be thankful that the team was able to defeat Ao and just intruded to make sure that Ao died.

While he quickly suppressed everyone with some seal, Konohamaru was able to negate its effect. In their brief fight, Konohamaru used Rasengan to attack Kashin Koji. But the surprising thing was that the Kara Inner member countered it with a Rasengan of his own.

One worrying aspect about Kashin Koji is that he is very well-informed. He knew that Boruto was Naruto's son, he knew about Konohamaru and he even knew that Mitsuki is Orochimaru's son. This type of person is undoubtedly very hard to deal with.

Boruto's New Power

Kashin Koji than attacked Konohamaru with his signature move True Fire of Samadhi, which should already be familiar with Boruto manga readers since it was the same technique used when he killed a fellow Inner member a few episodes back. Due to his intense desire to save Konohamaru from the inextinguishable flames, Boruto somehow activated a new power now known as Karma (Kama in some translations) capable of absorbing ninjutsu such as the Samadhi flames and the sealing technique used by Kashin Koji on the team.

Judging from Kashin Koji reaction, Boruto most likely got the Karma technique when he killed Momoshiki. While it is known within the Kara organization, it seems to be a rare technique since even Kashin Koji was fascinated upon seeing it in actual action. However, using it seems to take quite a toll on Boruto, who almost collapsed afterward. With the new power at his disposal, it is highly likely that fans might be seeing more of its usage in Boruto Chapter 24 or later chapters.

Boruto Not The Only Wielder Of Karma Technique?

However, it seems that Boruto is not the only wielder of such amazing technique. On their way to Konoha, they found an unconscious boy who carries the same seal on his palm. Given this clue, it appears that, just like Boruto, the boy might also know how to use the Karma technique.

The team found a lot of destroyed puppets near the boy's location. This could mean that the boy actually fought them himself and that he is not friendly with Kara at all. The question then, which hopefully might be answered in the coming Boruto Chapter 24, is that who and where does this boy come from?
