K-pop female group TWICE had achieved the "Triple Crown" recognition from SBS' Inkigayo show. The girls were given the prestigious title after their latest hit song "What Is Love?" was declared as the first place winner for three consecutive weeks. TWICE has also set a new record in the music show.
TWICE's "What Is Love?" has been nominated for the hottest song on Inkigayo for the weeks of April 22, April 29, and May 6. In all these weeks, the song track of the nine-member band was declared as the victor, which makes the group the "Triple Crown" winner of Inkigayo.

Every weekend, the Korean music program Inkigayo features some of the hottest songs and popular artists in the country. At the end of the show, a winner will be announced. A song that has received the first place spot for three consecutive weeks in the show is dubbed "Triple Crown." After the third win, the song will be removed from the chart and is not entitled to win again.
The girls garnered a score of 10, 527 on its latest win on Inkigayo. It is the highest score in the show's current system. It is also worth noting that the top three scores at Inkigayo all belong to TWICE. The band's song "Signal" in July 2017 was at second place with a score of 10,421. TWICE's hit track "Heartshaker" is in third place with 10,236. "Heartshaker" was released late last year.
Overall, TWICE has seven Triple Crowns, making them the first K-pop artists to win the most number of crowns in consecutive years. Aside from "What Is Love?," the other songs of TWICE that took the Triple Crown are "Cheer up," "TT," "Knock Knock," "Signal," "Likey," and "Heart Shaker."
Meanwhile, TWICE's "What is Love?" is also dominating the K-pop music charts aside from music show awards. The group's latest single strengthened its hold to the top spot on Soompi's music chart. WINNER's "EVERYDAY" moved up to No. 2 while BIGBANG's "Flower Road" dropped to third place.
