It certainly has been a while since Anne Rice has offered any updates on her highly anticipated TV show based on her wildly successful The Vampire Chronicles book series. Luckily, the author of Interview with the Vampire has awesome news for fans. Her son Christopher Rice has officially finished writing the script for the show's pilot episode.

The announcement may have confirmed that The Vampire Chronicles TV series is certainly moving forward, but Anne Rice's post also revealed some interesting details about the show. It looks like the official series title has finally been revealed and the pilot episode will give fans a much-needed look into Lestat's life before Magnus turned him into a vampire.

Anne Rice recently shared a post from the official The Vampire Chronicles Facebook page. The picture features the script for the show's pilot episode which will be called "Wolf Killer," a fitting title taken from the Brat Prince's first words when he recounted his life before becoming immortal in The Vampire Lestat.

The title of the pilot episode is certainly an exciting update, but it looks like the post may have also revealed what Anne Rice's television series will be called. Fans believe that the first season of The Vampire Chronicles TV show will be dubbed The Vampire Lestat and will undoubtedly feature the Brat Prince's early life and eventual transformation.

But could this mean that the first season of Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles will simply cover the events in Lestat's autobiography? The Brat Prince's life before meeting Magnus was certainly eventful. Fans are hoping the first part of the series will focus on his relationship with Nicolas de Lenfent before following his journey to find his true self through Marius and Those Who Must Be Kept. There is a possibility that The Vampire Lestat series conclusion will lead directly to Louis' story instead of The Queen of the Damned.

Anne Rice and Christopher Rice have yet to confirm the show's cast. The most recent addition to The Vampire Chronicles TV series is former American Gods co-showrunner Bryan Fuller, who is now part of the show's creative team.
