In spite of pursuing their individual careers, Girls Generation maintains their friendship by having constant communication. The girls are now busy doing their own things. In fact, Hyoyeon is now introduced as DJ Hyo, Yuri is now a part of JTBC's Talk To You 2, and Sunny is now a co-host on Video Star.

Sunny made her first appearance on Video Star's Longevity Special! Never Stop! Never Die! on Tuesday, May 1—replacing Hyosung, per All Kpop. After the former MC's exit, the host Park So Hyun thanked all of their viewers for their continuous love and support which made the show last that long. The Girls' Generation member then made her existence felt by saying, "let's live off of this for 10, 10,000 years."

Kim Sook then questioned Sunny's appearance on Video Star, asking where Hyosung is. The Girls' Generation singer then formally introduced herself as the variety show's new co-host. "I'm Girls' Generation's Sunny, who's become the "maknae" MC of Video Star," she said. The 28-year-old star promised to brighten up the "unnis" somber and "shadowy image" with the help of her vibrant image and energy.

Aside from Sunny, Yuri also has a new show in JTBC's Talk To You 2. The network revealed, per Soompi, that the Girls' Generation member is going to be joined by Jung Jae Chan, singer-songwriters Coffee Boy and J Rabbit, and Paul Kim.

In a short teaser, Talk To You 2's cast gathered all together to introduce their new members. Here, Yuri revealed she has been enjoying the show and is thankful for the opportunity to be a part of it. "I hope to fall into people's happiness with everyone," the Girls' Generation singer continued to say.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Hyoyeon to talk about her formal introduction as DJ Hyo on SBS PowerFM's Choi Hwa Jung's Power Time on Friday, April 27, the 28-year-old singer gave an update about Girls' Generation. The television personality revealed all eight members of the group are still "as close as ever," despite pursuing their own careers.

While talking about her new song, "Sober," a fan asked Hyoyeon if the Girls' Generation members are still meeting up. The DJ admitted they don't have the time to see each other that often because of their busy schedules, but they have constant communication through text messaging. She also revealed they have a group chat, and it is always full of hundreds of messages. "We always have so much we want to say to each other," she said.
