Lee El News: Actress Reveals Why She Dropped Out Of High School

South Korean actress Lee El may not be the only star to stop drop her studies in favor of a celebrity career, but she is certainly one of the few who has quite a unique reason for doing it.

During an interview with MBC's Section TV, Lee El revealed the reason why she dropped out of high school and never went back to finish it. Lee El explained in the interview that she was actually an introvert and had a difficult time in high school because of this.

Lee El admitted that she had quite a unique personality and was somehow not fit for interaction in high school, particularly with teenagers her age. She added that this made her high school life difficult and lonely; hence, her reason for dropping out of it. Apparently, this made her adolescence supposedly difficult, too, since much of that is spent during high school years.

She was also one of the kids in the classroom who is usually alone and did not talk too much. Perhaps as a result of her peculiar behavior, thereby making her unable to easily make friends unlike most people her age.

Rest assured, Lee El is one unique person who chose to follow a different path during her teenage years instead of following it along just like everyone else. This could also have contributed to her acting prowess since she claimed that she was introverted, meaning she mostly preferred the role of an observer during social interactions.

In hindsight, this trait can be quite useful for acting since it allows one to study the particular body languages of a person. It certainly helps Lee El in her acting career.

Meanwhile, her parents were not too happy about her early life decision and were actually furious. A week went by with her parents being mad at her until her father finally caved in and accepted her decision. Lee El told that her father actually decided to buy her some soju and gogi (meat) at a restaurant while they talked about her life choices. He told her that she could definitely stop school as long as she took care of her life. Seeing as how she turned out today, there is certainly a good chance that Lee El's father is not disappointed with her and her decision to drop out of high school.
