NCIS Season 15 Episode 22 will be the last and final time that fans will ever see Pauley Perrette’s character on the hit CBS show. Just Like Mark Harmon’s Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Abby Sciuto is one of the beloved characters on the American action police procedural television series. With that in mind, the showrunners made sure that Pauley’s exit will be something really special and memorable that would possibly leave fans in tears.

NCIS Season 15 executive producers Frank Cardea and George Schenck know that the show’s dynamic will definitely change after the departure of Pauley Perrette. With the importance of Abby on the show, they noted to TV Line that wanted to give her a send-off that will still leave a mark despite her future absence.

“For Abby’s farewell, it was not only important that we pay tribute to this wonderful character, but that we give her a very special departure,” Frank Cardea said via email. “Not only are there heartfelt and nostalgic moments, we have a very special reveal for the fans.”

Since the NCIS Season 15 executive producer mentioned that there would be nostalgic moments, it is safe to say that fans will be expecting some throwback memories that will recall the times where Pauley Perrette’s Abby was still hanging out with some of the characters.

While there are already a lot of ideas for the nostalgic part, what made Frank Cardea’s statement intriguing was the “special reveal for the fans” part. What will this be?

Could it be that this is not the end for Abby? Will there be some sort of revelation that she will be back in the future or that her legacy goes on? Despite the earlier hint, nothing much was said about the "special reveal." For now, fans will just have to wait and see if what’s in store for Pauley Perrette’s final episode in NCIS.
