'Shadowhunters' Season 3 Update: Katherine McNamara Reveals Clary's New Weapon, Relationship With Jace
In just a couple of days, fans are about to see the return of Shadowhunters Season 3. And to give its viewers little information of what they are about to see, Katherine McNamara, who plays the lead role Clary Fray, talked about her new weapon and relationship with Jace (Dominic Sherwood).
Clary is now an official Shadowhunter in the return of Shadowhunters Season 3. So, for McNamara, it just showed how far she has become in the show. From a curious woman, she told Hidden Remote that her character now sees the Shadow World for what it really is - "a cold-cutting, unforgiving, and harsh place."
After getting rid of the Shadow World of Valentine, Clary now feels like she is an official part of the Shadowhunters. This made her feel that she has a place in that world and a purpose that she has been longing to do.
With that, McNamara teased that fans will see Clary choosing her own weapon for the first time. She will opt to have a set of new daggers in Shadowhunters Season 3 that unknowingly has a major role from her past. "So, it's all kind of coming full circle," she revealed.
Meanwhile, in the previous season finale, fans saw Clary wishing for Jace's resurrection. Now, it is a big question if the fan-favorite Clace will have a normal relationship in the upcoming Shadowhunters Season 3.
McNamara explained that the coming third season will be the first time that Clary and Jace are going to explore their relationship. This time, they will let their feelings grow and see each other they that have always wanted to.
However, just like any other relationship, there will be obstacle Clary and Jace have to face in Shadowhunters Season 3. This is especially that the latter is experiencing the after-effects of his resurrection.
What fans used to see that Jace is seeing inside his head will still continue to show in the upcoming new season. Also, the secret that they have been holding together will remain to disturb them. The two perfectly know that others will soon know their secret, thus the Clave is going to hunt them.
Shadowhunters Season 3 is set to be released on March 20 on Freeform.
