‘The Curse Of Oak Island’ Season 5: The Team Can Freeze The Money Pit’s Excavation

The finale episode (titled "Amazing Discoveries") of The Curse of Oak Island Season 5 was already aired on Tuesday, March 6. It showed that the gem (Rhodolite Garnet) in the jewelry fragment was discovered on the island. This item is said to be more than 500 years old. The team is expected accomplish a research in the next season about this gem.

Rhodolite Garnet discovered in The Curse of Oak Island Season 5 has a raspberry color with a purplish tinge on it. The name comes from the rhododendron flower that is native to where it was discovered. The name comes from the Greek word 'rhodon,' which means 'rose colored.'

The discovery of a medieval lead cross

As far as the discovery of purported treasure is concerned, the The Curse of Oak Island Season 5 like the previous seasons had brought frustration and disappointment for both the viewers and team led by Rick Lagina and Marty Lagina. Even the water, which frequently flooded shafts on the island during digging operations, would also be turned into ice.

If the team is able to freeze the ground successfully, it will offer a watertight barrier under the ground so that excavation could be accomplished in stable surroundings.

There is no chance for The Curse of Oak Island Season 6 to be canceled as Season 5 ended with cliffhangers. The airing date of Season 6 is yet to be confirmed.
