The long wait for Sasuke's return is over. He will appear in the upcoming episode of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Anime fans last saw the Uchiha in Boruto series when he made a brief appearance after his daughter Sarada went on a mission to find him. The hero has never been seen at the Leaf Village ever since.

Manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump has released new details about the anime series. It contains several synopses and fans quickly translated the blurbs around particularly the Episode 52 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Although the synopsis for the upcoming episode remains under wrap, the title is enough for fans to rejoice.

Sasuke Uchiha's Return

The episode that will air on April 4 is titled, "Sasuke's Shadow." Reports indicated that the ninja hero will return home to warn Naruto of an imminent threat. He will stay in the village to help Naruto in protecting it. This means fans may see the ninja's fighting skill very soon.

Moreover, the episode will also have the long-awaited "Chunin Exam"  story arc. This further suggests that the Uchiha's might be staying for a little longer in the village. Sasuke plays a major role in the "Chunin Exam" arc. It was first introduced years ago in Boruto: Naruto the Movie. The hero was seen throughout the film. He has been on a long-term mission outside the Leaf Village ever since.

Spoilers indicated that Sasuke will mentor Naruto's son, Boruto Uzumaki, as the boy prepared for the Chunin Exams. The forthcoming episode will also focus on Sasuke's relationship to Boruto as a teacher. The boy will eventually vow to become a ninja like his teacher.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 51

The upcoming episode prior to Sasuke's return is titled "Boruto's Birthday." In the installment, Boruto will be mad once again on his father because of Naturo's absence on his birthday.

"Boruto hears that his father is spending his time with young Genins even though he couldn't be present for his birthday. That makes Boruto angry and feel lonely. Even under that situation, Boruto's Team 7 receives a mission in which they need to find and capture a group of thieves who are hiding in a remote town in the Land of Fire," Weekly Shonen Jump describes the episode.

This could be the reason why Boruto will reach out to Sasuke to train him instead of his father. Boruto has been trying to impress his father and pay more attention to him throughout the series.

For those unfamiliar with Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, it is the sequel to Naruto series that ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. Boruto is set several years after the events of the original Naruto story. It features the children of many of the key characters in the Naruto series.
