BTS Update: Marz Allegedly Insulted Boys And Called 'Mic Drop' Trash, ARMY Defends The Group
Producer Marz, also known as Paul Thompson, faced the anger of BTS fans as he said something against the South Korean boyband. The songwriter went live on Instagram and reportedly insulted the boys, thus, the ARMY came to their defense.
The turmoil started when a BTS fan started to talk about the group, saying they are far better than others when Marz was on a live broadcast. So, in response, he said with a little irritation in his voice that why would someone like him, who has worked with EXO and other SM Entertainment artists, would be interrupted by an ARMY.
Marz continued to say that this BTS fan might be younger compared to EXO's fans as the latter has been known far longer than the "Mic Drop" singers. He also said that his talent's supporters are more matured, All KPop reported.
"I can't deal with little kids. Like 12-year-olds telling me how the music industry works," he said. He also added that kids today are just talking without sorting things out.
To make things worse, Marz also allegedly described BTS' "Mic Drop" as a trash. However, no video has been seen to prove this claim, thus some people are wondering if Thompson really said this. On the other hand, ARMY believed that his fans are just covering him up.
This made the ARMY more furious, so they visited Marz's Instagram account. But, he quickly turned it from a public to a private profile. So, BTS' supporters just started to make the hashtag, "#marz_인스타라이브_공론화," trending on Twitter.
Meanwhile, as Marz reportedly depreciated BTS, the first daughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump, has praised the group, Soompi reported. In fact, his father's advisor bragged in a dinner with South Korean President Moon Jae In at the Presidential Blue House in Korea that her children love K-pop.
According to Blue House spokesman Yoon Young-Chan, Ivanka disclosed that after she showed K-pop to her kids, they started to hold a "dance party every night." She even specifically mentioned the BTS band. She even said that she will teach her children Korean language, so they could sing K-pop songs in front of President Moon and his wife when they visit Korea the next time.
