iKON's Bobby Owns Up to Slip-ups, Celebrates As Band Stabilizes ‘Megatrend Artists’ Status
Kim Ji-won, the 22-year-old Korean-American rapper who has gained legions of fans as a part of a boy band before turning into a solo artist, recently found himself in hot water over a past behavior while on a live telecast. What endeared iKON's Bobby to fans was the honesty he showed, owning up to the missteps.
The YG Entertainment talent had previously noted how he tends to get criticized a lot, making him more mindful of other people's views. Bobby, who has gained thousands of likes on Instagram and on other social media platforms, not just for his charming smile and cute looks, but for his talent, opened up after being swept up in a controversy for putting his foot up on a table during a radio program.
In another instance when other band members were having an online broadcast, curse words came out of his mouth. Such instances of accidentally cussing or behaving like tough were shrugged off by fans as being just a normal part of a young person's tendencies.
Nonetheless, Bobby was honest enough to acknowledge the small mistakes, media outlet Allkpop reported. It is just human, as an online commenter said -- People make mistakes and Bobby has learned from his slip-ups, so it is time to move on. A fan said the incident made make her love Booby more.
Career-wise, the rapper-songwriter has been quite busy. Bobby helped pen the lyrics of the title song from iKON's second studio album "Return" with iKon leader B.I., Soompi reported. The Korean pop act made its mark in the Japanese market last year and is currently set to go high gear with promotions in Korea.

Meantime, iKON Global has been tweeting the accomplishments of the different band members, including Bobby's "Love and Fall" album trending on MelOn Real Time Search. The boy band's return had also elicited much support from iKONICs and the band celebrated with a fan-signing event earlier this year.
The group's song, "LOVE SCENARIO," has stayed on the top spot in various major music platforms including Melon, Monkey 3, Olleh, Genie, Bugs, and Soribada. The music video of the song has generated millions of views since it was uploaded to iKON's official YouTube channel.
