'Dragon Ball Super' Shows Off How Strong Kefla Really Is As She Manages To Nearly Beat Goku
The showdown between Kefla and Goku was without an iota of doubt, the best battle in the Tournament of Power so far. Goku used his best Kamehameha yet in order to eliminate Kefla. While Goku was quite impressive during the battle, Kefla, the Potara fusion of Caulifla and Kale was sharp as a tack too.
The strong fusion believed she had a chance to beat Goku, but much to her chagrin, she was defeated with one perfectly-timed Kamehameha Wave. Despite her defeat, Kefla surpassed the expectation of "DBS" fans that feared she might turn out to be stronger than the main protagonist of the hit Japanese anime, Goku.
In the recently-aired episode of "Dragon Ball Super," fans saw Goku resorting to Ultra Instinct after nearly getting eliminated by Kefla. As Goku summoned Ultra Instinct yet again in the "Universal Survival" arc, Kefla was in a state of near collapse. Despite the fact that Caulifla and Kale's Potara fusion increased their combined power by ten, that wasn't enough to handle Goku's radically enhanced fighting dexterity.
Desperate to prevail against Goku's new strength, Kefla combined all of her Ki in a final gust of a fierce attack. She even reached Super Saiyan 2 by letting off all of her Ki, while Caulifla managed to do it without breaking much of a sweat. Their strength combined with Goku's Ultra Instinct Ki took rest of the tournament stage by storm.
Goku soon realized that Kefla's base level of power was a match for his fully-charged Spirit Bomb. Bearing that in mind, Goku goes for the Ultra Instinct state. This gives us a clear idea of how strong Kefla's Saiyan 2 form actually is, BlastingNews reported.
While Goku's Spirit Bomb accumulated power from the World of Void, a myriad of other competitors including Vegeta and rest of his friends from Universe 7, Kefla's base form was already as strong as this. Although Kefla's Super Saiyan form, coupled with the second form initially survived Goku's Ultra Instinct, it was only until Goku learned how to control his new state.
This Super Saiyan 2 power is now ten times the power Caulifla and Kale had. As if that weren't enough, the power even surpasses Goku's fully-charged Spirit Bomb. Kefla released a final burst of Ki, unleashing a whirlwind of energy blasts that reached a long way into the World of Void.
Even though Goku managed to beat Kefla, the power she displayed was simply jaw-dropping. "Dragon Ball Super" airs on Crunchyroll every Saturday at 7:15 p.m. CST. The English dub is aired by Adult Swim during its Toonami block every Saturday at 11:30 p.m.
