New 'Deadpool' Comic Release Announced By Marvel; Rob Liefeld Returns The New Project!

Marvel recently announced that comic book writer and artist Rob Liefeld is back on track with a new graphic novel for "Deadpool."

Rob Liefeld, is one of the creators of the Marvel's unstable mercenary Deadpool along with Fabian Nicieza who first introduced the character in "The New Mutants #98" back in 1991. The new Deadpool comics will be titled "Deadpool: Bad Blood."

Rob Liefeld shared his thoughts during an exclusive interview with Comicbook.com saying that he is, "thrilled beyond belief" about the new release.

"Seriously, as I've gotten older and my years in comics pile up, I've realized that I'm a Marvel guy for life," the comic book artist said. "All my favorite titles since I was a kid are Marvel titles and in 2015 my favorite titles are Marvel titles."

"I'm fortunate that I have a great legacy with the company and they've always made me feel welcome every time I come back," the statement continues.

The new creation will be the first graphic novel for Deadpool, and the plot and art will be handled by Liefeld along with comic writers Chris Sims and Chad Bowers. This new comic will be on the OGN format that will tell a single story that's unrelated to any other stories or books.

"The idea that you can tell one consecutive story uninterrupted is unique nowadays," Liefeld said during an interview as reported by Tech Times.

 "No single issue breaks and cliff hangers allow for greater momentum building the tale. The format has tremendous storytelling opportunities. I'm having a blast as are Chad and Chris," he added.

Rob Liefeld admitted that the graphic novel that he wanted to share the story for the last 20 years which he started drawing in his notebook since 2007. "It's something I do when I get ideas, artistically riffing, so the idea that I'm actually seeing the story and the pages come to life is a thrill! I don't want to give anything away, I'm just trying to add something memorable to the canon," he said according to Tech Times.

The announcement of the new graphic novel "Deadpool: Bad Blood" is a good window of opportunity to promote its upcoming movie in 2016. The R-rated Deadpool movie which character will be played by Ryan Reynolds will be the first to hit theaters next year followed by many hero movies for moviegoers to anticipate, according to Forbes
