Apple Music For Android Launched But Enthusiasts Are Skeptical; iTunes Email Hoax Still On
Tech giant Apple confirms that their exclusive music streaming application Apple Music now has its Android version as reported by BBC.
The all-new Apple Music for Android will offer the same features and functionalities as the iOS version and also offer free trial features for those who would like to try. The said music application was released by Apple in June this year as a direct competition to major music streaming applications available on the Internet such as Spotify and Google Play Music.
Despite this announcement, critics and tech enthusiasts are still skeptical if Apple Music for Android will work well for the Google-developed OS. Tech blogger Jim Dalrymple reviewed his experience with the application, saying it was a "nightmare" when it lost his songs that he imported from his CD collection.
With this still mixed reception of the application ongoing, Apple also needs to watch out for the fake iTunes emails spreading all over the Internet. Anonymous scammers and con artists have been sending out fake invoice emails to multiple email accounts asking the user to pay for a certain application after being "downloaded" on their devices according to a report from Express UK.
These emails claim to come from iTunes Store, however if you will review the sender details, it can be seen very well that it came from a dummy email address. Apple has been reminding customers on their privacy policy and use of personal information, saying that they never use bank details or any personal information in emails.
No legal action has been done yet by the company to address this issue. The iTunes scam is so far the most recent in the list of phishing scams involving global companies.
Meanwhile, Apple remains positive on the projected success of Apple Music now that it will be made available for both iOS and Android. They previously mentioned that the application now has 6.5 million paying subscribers to date, however they still need to work on its growth.
At present, Spotify still rules the subscription game with its 15 million paying subscribers, while Google remained to keep silent in their subscriber count.
