'The Flash' Season 4 Episode 1 Air Date, Synopsis, Spoilers: Operation Bring Barry Back
Central City needs the Scarlet Speedster in "The Flash" Season 4. However, after going into the Speed Force, it looks like Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is in no mood to fight a powerful armored villain in the premiere episode.
The superhero series will return on television in two weeks but, already, a threat has reappeared in Central City. While Cisco (Carlos Valdes), as seen in the trailer, will be able to bring the hero back home, it looks like something has gone terribly wrong.
"With Barry in the Speed Force, Iris (Candice Patton), Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Vibe have taken over protecting Central City," the synopsis read (via Den of Geek). "However, when a powerful armored villain threatens to level the city if The FLash doesn't appear, Cisco makes a risky decision to break Barry out of the Speed Force. However, the Barry that comes out isn't the same Barry that went in." "The Flash" Season 4 Episode 1 will air on Oct. 10 at 8/7c on The CW.
The episode is titled "The Flash Reborn" that further hints at a different Barry. He also has a new superhero suit that marks the changes that will happen to the Scarlet Speedster after he was trapped in the Speed Force.

However, bringing Barry back will not be easy, In the extended trailer for "The Flash" Season 4 below, Team Flash has already started to mourn the loss of Barry Allen - even Iris.
When Cisco brought up the idea of bringing Barry back, she reminded him that the hero of Central City did not want to be saved. She also said, "You assume that Barry is even still alive."
Regardless, Cisco takes the risk and successfully pulls The Flash from the Speed Force. But something has changed...
"The Flash" Season 4 will introduce other iconic comic book villains to television such as Hazard, the Blacksmith, The Mechanic and The Thinker. Showrunner Todd Helbing teased in an interview with TV Line that, instead of speed like in previous season, the big bad of Season 4 will offer Barry a psychological war.
