Meet The Musician: Demi Lovato, 'Confident'

Demi Lovato gave her fair share in response to the controversial Starbucks cup design which reportedly angered most Christians and had become an issue for lacking the Christmas spirit.

A previous statement from the Vice President of design and content stated that, "This year we wanted to usher in the holidays with a purity of design that welcomes all of our stories," according to Radio.com.

Singer Demi Lovato gave her reaction via Twitter on Nov. 10 saying, "Why doesn't @Starbucks at least make the cups about the actual season: winter? (snowflakes, snowmen..etc.)," according to a report by MTV News.

She also posted another tweet for her fans saying, "Also, why do we care this much about a cup....??"

The company has already released a statement saying, "Creating a culture of belonging, inclusion and diversity is one of the core values of Starbucks, and each year during the holidays the company aims to bring customers an experience that inspires the spirit of the season," according to Radio.com.

"Starbucks will continue to embrace and welcome customers from all backgrounds and religions in our stores around the world," the statement continued.

The issue seemed to have simmered down since it was started by Joshua Feuerstein's video ranting about the Starbucks plain red cup as he thought it lacks the Christmas vibe that made him promote a movement to boycott the company using the social media.

For some, the green Strabucks logo along with the plain red background is counted as a Holiday cheer for coffee lovers. The cup was even described as elegant and straightforward approach to Christmas, according to VH1.

It's not just Demi Lovato who got into the issue, Katy Perry joined in by sharing a photo of her in Instagram in a long red gown with caption, "Meet me for coffee...," as was posted in Radio.com.
