JYP Entertainment has confirmed that girl group TWICE will make a comeback in Korea sometime in late October. The agency said that an exact date has yet to be determined. The timing of the group's return next month puts their comeback around the same time as TWICE's 2nd anniversary.

TWICE debuted on October 20, 2015, with the album "The Story Begins" and the single "Like Ooh-Ahh." In April 2016, the group had their first number one single with the track "Cheer Up." They had an October comeback that year with "TT" from the album "TWICEcoaster: Lane 1." It may be that an October comeback will become a tradition for TWICE.

The announcement confirmed a rumor of the comeback that has been circulating. Amino notes that leaked photos have revealed TWICE to be shooting a music video in Canada, which may have started the rumors.

The group has already done two comebacks in 2017. In February, TWICE dropped the repack album "TWICEcoaster: Lane 2" along with the lead single "Knock Knock." In May, the group released "Signal" and its lead track of the same name. Soompi notes that "Signal" took the record for biggest number of sales on the first day for a K-pop girl group. It also became the highest-selling album by a girl group in its first week of release.

TWICE is set for a busy October. As our previous piece notes, the girl group will be releasing ''One More Time," their first Japanese single, for a Japan comeback on October 18. The group has found success in Japan as well as Korea after releasing the album "#TWICE" in Japan on June 28. The album contained Japanese-language versions of their Korean hit singles. "#TWICE" became the biggest-selling album by a K-pop girl group in Japan.

October is set to be a month packed with comebacks by K-pop artists. A recent article reports that BTOB will comeback on October 16, which also happens to be the date of Highlight's scheduled comeback. NU'EST W will have a comeback on October 10. EXID has announced a comeback sometime in late October.
