'Finding Dory' Trailer Officially Released; Ellen DeGeneres Reveals Clip On Her Show!
The "Finding Dory" trailer has been officially released for fans to join the blue tang's adventure in knowing her unknown past.
Dory was first seen in Disney-Pixar's movie "Finding Nemo" in 2003 which is a big hit earning $936.7 million.
The anticipated sequel sets six months after the events in "Finding Nemo" where she is reunited with her clownfish friends Marlin and Nemo as she goes for an epic adventure in seeking about her past.
Director Andrew Stanton shared his feelings about the sequel release. "I wanted to know that if this charming, forgetful fish ever got lost again, that she would be OK, that she would find her way home," he said, according to E Online.
"And at the end of Finding Nemo, I wasn't confident about that. So that's when I knew I had another story," he added during the D23 Expo last August.
Dory's voice is played by the famous comedian-host Ellen DeGeneres, where in the trailer the short-termed memory blue tang is talking while swimming in her sleep that eventually woke Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Nemo (Hayden Rolence) who got her back to sleep. The next morning Dory seemed to remember something about herself that started her own journey, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The newly released trailer didn't reveal too much but it has been reported that there will be new characters to appear in the upcoming movie. "We will get to meet new characters, like an octopus, sea lions, a beluga whale, among others," Pixar President Jim Morris said in Comingsoon.net.
Fans will get to see a whale named Destiny (Kaitlin Olson), cranky octopus Hank which voice is played by Ed O'Neill, a beluga name Bailey (Ty Burrell) and Dory's parents in Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton's voice.
In excitement, Ellen DeGeneres shared the first glimpse of the trailer during her show on Tuesday.
The Disney-Pixar movie "Finding Dory" will swim into theaters on June 17, 2016, according to E Online.
