The 100 Season 5

After surviving another apocalypse, time will move forward for Clake in "The 100" Season 5. In an interview with Eliza Taylor, the actor teased how her character is going to change after the massive six-year time jump.

The Season 4 finale that aired earlier this year finally delivered the second radioactive death wave that changed the Earth. However, humanity has inexplicably survived despite the technological disadvantages and the many conflicts that have arisen along the way.

Fans will not see the immediate fallout of the second apocalypse. Instead, "The 100" Season 5 will jump forward in time to follow Clarke and the remaining humans six years and seven days after the second wave hit the planet.

Taylor comments that in the upcoming season, she will play the role of a 24-year-old woman as opposed to an 18-year-old. She also mentions that six years into the future, Clarke has transformed into a surrogate mother for Madi, a young Nightblood.

"I think what we're gonna see is the evolution of her really turning into this maternal, kicka** mummy type, which is exciting," the 27-year-old reveals as quoted by Hidden Remote. "It's simplified everything. [Clarke's goals have basically become] find food, look after child, stay alive."

Moreover, time does heal all wounds - even for Clarke who has lost so many people after four seasons. "[O]ver those six years there would have been a lot of time to make peace and be less hurt by everything that's happened," she adds.

Meanwhile, Den of Geek reports that "The 100" Season 5 has officially started production this month. The official Twitter account of the show's writing room posted a photo of Taylor who reprises the role of Clarke.

The CW has not announced an exact premiere date as of this writing. However, expect new episodes to air by early 2018.
