Shadowhunters Season 3 Premiere Date & Spoilers: Katherine McNamara Teases Clary & Jace Romance

Sparks flew immediately the first time that Clary (Katherine McNamara) saw Jace (Dominic Sherwood). However, just when their romance has started to bloom, they were told a lie that tore them apart. Now that Clary knows that Jace is not her father, McNamara teases exciting things for the couple in "Shadowhunters" Season 3. 

Things might be going awry in the Shadow World, but neither Clary nor Jace have any plans to wait and keep their feelings to themselves. The actor reveals that a relationship between the Shadowhunters is a real possibility in the next installment of the urban drama teen series. 

"The exciting things about Clary and Jace right now is that for the first time in the series, they're both in a place where they're open to the possibility of a relationship and exploring what this connection between them really is," McNamara explains to EW. "Up until this point, one of them has either been suppressing feelings or running from them - one thing or another has been in their way and now they have this opportunity."

The actor continues that the connection between the two characters is stronger than ever despite the chaos surrounding them. She even went on to hint that the unspoken attraction between the two will be a weapon they used in the fight against Valentine Morgenstern (Alan Van Sprang) and the Seelie Queen (Sarah Hyland). 

However, even if the conflict that kept Clary and Jace apart is over and done with, the two still has to deal with the war in the Shadow World. Jonathan (Wil Tudor) is still alive and his mother, Lilith, also be involved in "Shadowhunters" Season 3. 

Showrunner Todd Slavking explains to TV Line that Lilith, the first of all demons, will be a major player in the upcoming season. It was her blood that Valentine used on his son, Jonathan Morgenstern. He warned that Lilith will be the big bad of "Shadowhunters" Season 3 when it premieres in 2018.
