Thor: Ragnarok - Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange Has Ominous Prophecy For The God Of Thunder

Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange has finally appeared in a new trailer for "Thor: Ragnarok." In a new footage released in Japan, the Sorcerer Supreme looks into Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) future and sees a great danger ahead.
The involvement of Cumberbatch in the third "Thor" movie was confirmed late last year. In the end credits scene of the actor's first solo superhero movie, Hemsworth's Thor appeared in New York City where he met Doctor Strange. There, the viewers learned that the Asgardian prince is looking for his father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins), who, from the last time he was seen in "Thor: The Dark World," has gone missing.
Thanks to the international trailer released this week, Marvel gave a peek into the interaction between the two heroes. Aside from helping the God of Thunder look for Odin, Doctor Strange will also warn him about the impending Ragnarok.
"Thor, I sense a great change in your future," the Sorcerer Supreme said in the Japanese trailer for "Thor: Ragnarok" (via The Hollywood Reporter). "Destiny has dire plans for you, my friend."
In "Thor: Ragnarok," the God of Thunder gets thrown into a planet called Sakaar where he will face his "friend from work," the Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), in a Gladiator-style battle arena. After escaping the Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum), Thor has to assemble a team to battle the Goddess of Death, Hela (Cate Blanchett), and save his world, Asgard, from destruction.
If "Thor: Ragnarok" looks familiar to comic book fans, it might be because the movie was heavily inspired by the art of Jack Kirby. According to director Taika Waititi, the technicolored palette of the upcoming movie was all thanks to retro "Thor" comics. He told EW that he likes the "cosmic trippy" vibe of the late comic book artist.
"Thor: Ragnarok" will also star Tom Hiddleston, Tessa Thompson, Idris Elba, Jaimie Alexander, Ray Stevenson and Karl Urban. The movie will be released on Nov. 3 worldwide.
