It seems like the fans of "Rick and Morty" can finally relax. The fans of the show are made to wait for really long for a new update regarding the show's upcoming show. This led many to fear that "Rick and Morty" might be canceled altogether. The good news it that the show hasn't been canceled yet but the airing date has definitely been postponed. Contrary to what many believed might be the reason for the delay wherein they thought the disagreement and clash between co-creator Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland caused the postponement, the show has been delayed due to other technical reasons.

According to a report published by Hofmag, the upcoming season of "Rick and Morty" is going to consist of 14 episodes. The season was expected to release back in 2016 itself; however, for some unknown reason, the show-runners decided to postpone the show's launch date. During this time, Adult Swim definitely took everyone by surprise when it unexpected released the first episode of "Rick and Morty" season 3 on April 1, 2017. Since it was launched on April Fool's day, the fans assumed that it was just a prank being pulled off by Adult Swim. But turned out, it was a new episode of "Rick and Morty." Unfortunately, since then there haven't been any new developments regarding the show up till now. Currently, the show's fans are under the impression that the third installment may be canceled altogether. Most of the experts felt that it was due to the rift between the show's co-creators that such a thing was taking place.

According to several online reports, 'Rick and Morty's co-creators were going through a feud of sorts. Harmon made an official statement during the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year that he and Justin Roiland were experiencing a lot of crashes lately. This fight has affected them to bring out the show's story. He reportedly even said that it is taking longer and longer to write and he doesn't know why such a thing is taking place.

According to another report published by The Independent, Harmon later added that they have fought all the time and then they start fighting about why they are fighting. It was only during the second season that they didn't fight but after that, they have been experiencing a lot of disagreements. This has caused fans to chuckle over the childish behavior of the co-creators of "Rick and Morty," but also feel frustrated at the same time as they are being made to wait for longer than expected for the third installment of the show. Fans are now hoping that the show-runners get over their petty issues soon and work on bringing the next season out soon.
