Fans of "The Vampire Diaries'" Klaroline ship who were sad to see Klaus and Caroline separated in the series may finally have their wish granted as the possibility of a Klaus and Caroline reunion in "The Originals" Season 5 may definitely happen. The couple could meet again soon, according to incoming showrunner Julie Plec.

In a report by TV Guide, Julie Plec, who will be replacing Michael Narducci as "The Originals" showrunner, let it slip that Klaus and Caroline may bump into each other when Klaus' daughter Hope enrolls at the Salvatorre School for the Young and the Gifted. It was earlier teased that Hope would be headed to Mystic Falls to learn how to use her powers from the school.

By the time Hope is ready to enroll, Caroline will be running the Salvatorre School with Alaric so the possibility is high that the headmistress will get to meet the student's father. "Alaric and Caroline are running the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted where Hope Mikael-- sh** never mind. Keep watching..," Julie Plec teased about "The Originals" Season 5.

It can be recalled that when "The Vampire Diaries" ended, the possibility of a Klaroline reunion was teased when Caroline received a letter from Klaus and a generous amount to support her cause. Shippers of the pair have rallied for a reunion since Klaus' love interest Cami was already killed off at the end of "The Originals" Season 5, Korea Portal reported.

However, show creator Julie Plec said that "The Originals" Season 4 was too early to reintroduce a Klaroline reunion as the timelines of "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals" do not match at the time. She did not close the doors on a reunion but it looks like "The Originals" Season 5 will be the right time for the couple to reunite.
