Black Pink has done it again with their recent comeback. The girl group has started promoting their newest single, “As If It’s Your Last” and the song has already topped music charts both in and outside South Korea. Black Pink battles it out with MAMAMOO on music charts in South Korea as the latter takes the top spots on the real-time charts of the big shots, Melon and Mnet. MAMAMOO also kicked off their comeback with the release of their new mini-album, “Purple”.
Black Pink on the other hand reigns on six South Korean music charts, namely Naver, Genie, Bug, Olleh, Monkey3, and Soribada. In addition to the domestic ranks, the girl group has also dominated iTunes Charts all over the globe. “As If It’s Your Last” took the top spots on the iTunes Worldwide Singles Charts in 18 countries, from Argentina to Turkey. Black Pink actually broke their own record for “Whistle”, which charted on iTunes in 14 countries. YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk is evidently proud of the girls’ recent achievement that he could not help boast on social media about the group’s recent feat on iTunes.
Aside from ranking first in various music charts, Black Pink’s music video of “As If It’s Your Last” seems to fare well. It has not been a day yet when the said music video reached 10 million views, making it the fastest Korean pop music video to reach that mark and surpassing rising star BTS for that record. The music video is currently nearing its 20 million mark as it has already gathered more than 11.5 million views on Black Pink’s official YouTube channel.
