SEVENTEEN Reveals Which Member Cried Recently & Talks About Their Popularity On ‘Weekly Idol’
It's been 1 year and 7 months since SEVENTEEN's last appearance on 'Weekly Idol'. Fans have been anticipating the 13-member group's next guesting on the popular show since they first appeared during their promotions for 'Mansae'. 'Weekly Idol' MC Hyung Don even commented that SEVENTEEN has become more famous since they last came on the show, mentioning their achievements like entering the Billboard charts and Oricon chart.
SEVENTEEN said they feel thankful for being on the Japan Oricon chart even though they haven't debuted in Japan yet. When the 'Weekly Idol' hosts asked them how things have changed since becoming popular, SEVENTEEN shared that now they have 2 cars and have since moved to a new dorm. The boys said, "Now we have 2 cars. In the past, we used to share the car with staff members but we no longer do." They added, "And we moved into a new dorm. The 13 members used to share 1 bathroom but now we have 3 rooms and also have 3 bathrooms."
SEVENTEEN came on 'Weekly Idol' to promote their latest single 'Don't Wanna Cry' and were then asked which member cried most recently. Seungkwan replied, "Vernon was injured right before the comeback. I was worried that he might not be able to promote with us." The 'Weekly Idol' hosts joked and teased him, saying, "Look at you trying to make an image!" to which Seungkwan replied, "It's true!" Vernon backed him up and confirmed the story, saying, "I was touched by Seungkwan. I was rushed to the emergency room late at night due to an injury and when I came back to the dorm in the morning, he was waiting for me outside."
The boys of SEVENTEEN showcased their unique individual talents on 'Weekly Idol'. Mingyu cooked ramen for 15 people, DK peeled tangerines at lightning-fast speed, and The8 showed his martial arts skills, among many others. The group also wowed the hosts with the 2x speed dance of 'Don't Wanna Cry' and impressed the audience with minimal mistakes in their random dance play.
